Paper Rose Studio | Valentine’s Day Card

Hi all, welcome to today’s blog post for Paper Rose Studio. For the card base, I have die-cut the cable knit cover plate and adhered it down for a tone-on-tone effect. I misted some spray over the top with an additional splatter for added texture.

With the stitched hearts die I have paired it with the Sweet Summer basics pattern paper which I adhered down on the centre of the card front. I have heat embossed with the embossing powder “say you will remember me” from the reputation Trio inspired my dear friend Natasha Davies with the Love heart hands die. How cool does that melted powder look? To finish the card, I used the All Occasions sentiment pack and added a strip just below the hands.

Spellbinders – Four Petals Collection

Hi all, I am excited to be playing with the gorgeous Spellbinders Scrolled Punch and Pierced plate and the Four Petal thank you Floral dies.

For today’s card, I have created a card and gift card set with a pretty peachy pink and neutral pallet. I have added some touches of gold cardstock for the centre of the small florals for a bit class. I did use a sentiment stanp which is retired but one of my favourites sentiment which is the Essential sentiment set. Do you have favourite stamp set that you just won’t part with? I have propped up the floral and stems with some square foam dots which I have cut up in teeny tiny sizes so you can’t see it but it is still propping up the florals. For the sentiment, I have stamped with the Catherine Pooler Coral Cabana ink as I felt it suited this combo.

Paper Rose Studio

Paper Rose Studio | Daisy Circle Cards

Hi crafty people, welcome to today’s blog post for Paper Rose Studio. I have made two very similar cards with different backgrounds for today’s cards through the Daisy Circle die.

Card 1 – I have made an alcohol ink background where I placed the cranberry alcohol ink on yupo cardstock / paper. Once dried but slightly tacky I placed copper foil and pressed gently so the alcohol ink background stayed in the areas leaving a marble effect. I adhere the daisy circle die-cut on a black stitched circle cardstock. I mounted the circle piece on an A6 card front base. The pre-printed sentiment is from the Big black & white sentiment sheets pack.

Card 2 – I have used strips of cardstock popped behind the daisy circle die. I kept this card very clean and simple and used the colour of the cardstock strips to make the die stand out. The sentiment is from the Black & White sentiment sheets pack which I adhere down on the white card base.

Paper Rose Studio – Butterfly Garden Cardset

Hi paper crafting people, welcome to today’s blog post as part of my design team’s work for the fabulous Paper Rose Studio. The card set I have made today is made with the Butterfly Garden collection release. This release has beautiful pattern papers and die cuts. The die cuts make for easy card-making assembly. The pre-printed sentiments are from the Big sentiments and the Black and White sentiment packs.

To make the frame for the above 1st card I have used the Lots of Rectangle dies. This die set cuts out rectangle patterns and detailed frame sets. You can see this added detail to all three cards with this set.

The above card has added twine embellishments on the card.

Paper Rose Studio · Wow Embossing

Paper Rose Studio |Blooms Card

Hello crafty people, welcome to today’s blog post for my design teamwork for Paper Rose Studio. I have added some subtle texture by using a texture plate with my bigshot with the Amelia Coverplate die instead of using it to die cut all I wanted to achieve was an impression of the die. I then added some heat embossing by rolling a brayer along the ink pad then lightly across the cover plate impression. I then poured over the top where the powder only catches where ink touches. I heatset the powder and matted it on a silver cardstock base. I also heat embossed the blooms images with Opaque bright white embossing powder which I then coloured in with my Karin brush markers. For the sentiment, I die cut the chunky Happy Birthday die with silver and white cardstock.
