Catherine Pooler Jolly Holiday New Release

Who is excited to get their christmas creations happening? And what is even more exciting is playing with some fun, trendy and fabulous goodies. Catherine Pooler has certainly delivered and brings to you an array of new inks, stamps, dies, stencils, sequins, papers AND a slimline collection of dies and papers!!!

For today’s card I have made a fun shaker card with the new “Caroling Sentiments” stampset. I know it is not a traditional Christmas colour pallet however sometimes I like to go out of the norm and go with colours that I know the recipient would like.

Another detail I like to add is using a a tone on tone heat embossing effect. This time I used the White pearl embossing powder. This adds a subtle effect that is elegant, shimmery and fun all at once.

Shop here – http://shop.catherinepooler.com?aff=101 (affiliate link)

As something different I have made my own shaker panel with the nested oval dies. It is a fairly simple card but fun to make all the same. Check out my step by step youtube tutorial below.

For today’s technique I have spread the embossing paste through the stencil, while the stencil is wet I have poured the sparkles over the top and set aside to dry. Once dried I used a dry fluffy dry paint brush to sweep away any excess sparkles. Using embossing paste with the sparkles range is one of my favourite methods.

For the first card I created an inked background & sentiment panel with the Royal Treatment ink. I heat embossed the wand from the new Big & Bold Ruby Slippers with Metallic Gold Rich embossing powder. The sentiment panel I have heat embossed with Opaque Bright White

For the background of the stars I have used the Star stencil, Tacky when Dry gel medium and Glitter gold FABfoil from embossing powder. I have used the DOVD blender pen to colour in the heat embossed wand with Sauna and Royal Treatment ink.

I loved playing with the Paradise Found inks and for the second cards ink blended panel I have used Sauna and Mandarine Spice. I stamped the ruby shoes with WOW! Embossing ultra slow drying ink and heat embossed with Ebony embossing powder. I then coloured in with the dove blender pen with Peppermint Scrub ink. To get the glittery shoe effect I added wanderlust embossing glitter which I heat set. I fussy cut the shoes out and adhere down on the ink blended panel.

To finish the card off I heat embossed the sentiment with Opaque Bright white embossing powder on black cardstock.

Catherine Pooler New Release | One Plus One | Mr & Mrs

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by and visiting me today. Today I am show casing a couple of cards from the new Catherine Pooler “One Plus One” release.

Card 1
The first card I have made for today’ I have used the His and Hers stampset, Nested Stitched Hearts dies & the Polka Dot Cover plate.
To make this card I cut up random strips of Catherine Pooler white cardstock and ink blended with an array of Catherine Pooler Inks. Mint to Be, Lime Rickey, Mardi Gras, Pixie Dust & Grape Crush.
Now there are some layers of die cuts starting with the Polka Dot cover plate as a background, the heart die by layering the dies together in one passing.
I have heat embossed the His & Hers images with WOW! Embossing Powder Metallic Gold Rich super fine detail and die cut with the coordinating die.
To finish the card off I stamped with Black Jack ink the sentiment on a thin strip of white cardstock and mounted on black cardstock and adhered down with foam squares .
Hope you enjoyed today’s card creation.

Catherine Pooler New Release | One Plus One | His and Hers Stampset

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by and visiting me today. Today I am show-casing a couple of cards from the new Catherine Pooler “One Plus One” release. The stampset used is the brand new “His & Hers” Stampset along with the new Polka Dot cover plate background die.

The above card I created a panel where I heat embossed the sentiment with WOW! Embossing Powder Metallic Rich Gold Powder on white cardstock. I stamped both images in Rouge & Midnight Inks and to finish the panel off I matted it on black cardstock.

I kept the rest of the card rather simple adhering down a die cut polka dot piece on a side folding card base.

For the above card I created my own background by alternate stamping both glasses with Rouge and Aquatini Inks on white cardstock which I have mounted on a black mat panel.
I have stamped the sentiment with Midnight Ink on a square piece of white cardstock and matted on black cardstock. To finish the card off I added a heart shaped die cut from kraft.
Hope you enjoyed today’s card creation.

Papercrafters Unite Against Racism Blog Hop

Hi all, thank you for stopping by. I feel very honored to be very part of this very special hop. The goal of this hop is to come together to stand behind our crafty sisters and brothers of colour not just in the art industry, but also to show our support in the never-ending fight for equality all over the world.

All details of this hop and the line up of sponsors are up on Justine Hovey’s Blog .

As this is a hop don’t forget to visit your next hopper – Nandini Karmarkar.

For my first two card creations I bought digital stamps from Angie Bloom Digital Designs and Graciellie Designs to support small business that convey important messages with gorgeous designs. I felt both companies offered an array of images and sentiments that were fitting for today’s hop.

The first two cards I have incorporated an array of ink blended panels with Catherine Pooler inks and sprinkles of WOW! Embossing Powder Ultra High powders.

To see how have created these cards you can watch my tutorial up on my youtube channel.

The next card below has been inspired from my home country Australia where I reside. I first want to start of by acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the lands on which I reside today and pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.

I have carefully chosen the stamps from Hero Arts as the images reminded of the indigenous illustrations from the local Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders people here in Australia. The tones are a reflection of the earth as the indigenous use the land of natural tones, colours and earth materials to make their colours with.

For todays card creations I have used the beautiful Hydrangea Cluster stampset and for the sentiment I have used the Happy Everything. I personally love this sentiment set as it is versatile to have an array of intercgangable sentiment fonts.
When I watercolour I love heat embossing with WOW! Embossing Powder Opaque Bright White in super fine detail to capture every single intricate detail on stamped images both sentiments and designs.
For the heat embossed background I have used the new WOW! Trio Apterfied Metalz*Seth Apter Exclusive* on both cards.

WOW! Embossing Powder Blog

Now onto my card creations. Today, I have made 3 cards using a variation of WOW! Embossing Powder products – Sparkles, Embossing Glitters and straight-up super fine powders.  I have used the same stampset from Gerda Steiner Designs – Carol Puppies Stampset and watercoloured them in with the Altenew paint pan pallet.

I first stamped the images using my MISTI with Versafine Onyx black ink which I then watercoloured the images in. I set aside to dry then I restamped the image over the top of the watercolour images to get a good crisp black image over the top.

Card 1 - Jo

For the first card I used Coconut Ice embossing glitter on the die-cut diagonal frame by pressing the clear ultra slow drying ink direct on the diecut. It is hard to capture the embossing glitter in a photo but it really makes for a fabulous die glitter cardstock panel. The sentiment has been heat embossed with Angel Eyes from the Ferryman Trios set.

card 1a - Jocard 2 - Jo

Second card  I have heat embossed a scalloped circle die cut with Salsa embossing glitter. I have also roughly swiped  the pennant edge with ultra slow drying ink and poured neptune embossing glitter. Card 2a - Jo

For the last card I have used the Flamingo Sparkles and created my own paste with Texture Gloss paste. Using a plastic spatula I have mixed the sparkles and texture paste and spread it like butter over a poinsettia stencil. Card 3 - Jo

I hope you enjoyed today’s card creations for the hop.

Holiday Blog Hop with Catherine Pooler & WOW! Embossing Powder

I have to say I have been having a ball playing with the Catherine Pooler Holidays release.

Now becuase today is a hop you most likely have come from Catherine Pooler Desgns Blog your next hop is to the very talented Daniel West.

Each comment gets an entry to the hop so comment away so us some crafty kindness as we are super excited to read your comments along the way.

For the Angel wings dies card I have done some really light ink blending with some distress oxide inks.
The card on the left I have used Black soot and Hickory Smoke oxide inks and the card on the right I have used Tattered Rose and Spun Sugar. The key to get a smooth inkblending I have used the make up blending brushes. To get the glittery wings I have used Iced Silver & Aladdin Embossing Glitter.

These trio of cards I have masked the labels dies with some purple tape and heat embossed in selected sections. I found doing this technique really show cases the new Catherine Pooler Bundle Up Trios embossing powder really well. There is such a fabulous array of sparkly texture .
The above card I have used the Sage Embossing Glitter & below I have used Peppermint Scrub from the Bundle Up Trios – Inspired by Catherine Pooler.

Catherine Pooler – Jolly Holiday Slimline card

Hi All, I have been absolutely been loving the new Jolly Holiday release and particularly how lovely the Jolly Trees stampset. This stampset has been so versatile and awesome for layering ink colours. For today I have done a quick and simple card of straight stamping with Eucalyptus and Green Tea ink. For the Christmas centre tree I have heat embossed with Metallic Rich Gold embossing powder and die cut out and placed on Cranberry Fizz ink panel and cut closely around to foam mount on.

I place and stamped the trees on the bottom of the slimline panel. Cut a panel of pattern paper and mount on a Cranberry Fizz ink blended panel. Die cut the new Merry Christmas word die three times. Press the top word die into the cranberry ink and adhere all down on the pattern paper strip.

Place the whole card panel on a navy slimline card panel.

Shop here to take you directly to the Catherine Pooler Store

I have used a compensated affiliate link in this post, which means I get a small commission from the company directly at no extra cost to you whatsoever if you shop using these links. Any earnings I get from these links go back into keeping up with the craft creations to provide you some inspiration. If you enjoy my work, I’d be so grateful if you choose to support me this way. Thank you in advance!

Lots of love and happy crafting from Jo
