Spellbinders | Victorian Garden Release

Hi all, welcome to today’s blog post with the latest Spellbinders Victorian Garden collection release. I have die cut the Mason jar & Lavendar set and the Victorian Garden Foilage dies. The dies have been die-cut with pre-embossed panels from a range of WOW! Embossing Powders. Two of the powders are from my very own collection – Midori Splice & Fruit Tingle. These are a bright mix of powders that add some lovely sparkle and shine to your projects. I have also added a spring of gold embossing powder too. I kept the mason jar in white with the springs adding color. The sentiment has been foiled with teal foil from the Just wanted to say sentiment plate collection. To finish the card off I added some crystal drops and a linen floss bow.

Paper Rose Studio | Glitter Butterfly Card

Hi all, welcome to today’s blog post for the Paper Rose Studio Design team. Today, I made a dainty butterfly card with gold glitter cardstock to add some glitter and shine. I always love adding gold accents whether it’s cardstock, embossing powder, and paints. If you didn’t know Paper Rose Studio has brought out a line of pre-embossing sentiment/ephemera packs! wait what..!!!! you read right! how super cool is this sentiment I used for today’s card from the ‘Celebrate Embossed set’. The circle die cut I ink-blended Saltwater Taffy distress oxide to add a pop of soft pastel-like color to my overall card design. To add some extra bling I use clear crystals in various sizes.

Spellbinders | Toolbox Essentials Release

Hi all, welcome to today’s blog post with the Spellbinders Toolbox Collection designed by Nancy McCabe. Who doesn’t love an excellent masculine toolset? I love seeing all the different variations of craft inspiration with this set. Have you been keeping an eye on the inspiration? I am so inspired to make more cards now!

My card today is pretty simple and I got to play with a fantastic iridescent teal foil with the Nailed It! Glimmer Hot foil plate. I love how this hot foil plate has a sentiment too. I was able to make a quick card in one hot foil plate passing on smooth white cardstock. I mounted both the sentiment and hot foil on speckled pattern paper. I propped the sentiment on foam mount squares to finish the card off.

Die Cutting

Spellbinders | Victorian Garden Release

Hi all, welcome to today’s blog post with the Victorian Garden Collection from Spellbinders designed by Susan Tierney-Cockburn. I have used the Southern Magnolia dies from the collection and cut them with white cardstock and added some gentle ink blending towards the sentiment of the floral with Distress Oxide Mustard Seed ink. With the same ink, I added some colour to the center part. Now I know there is a name and I had to google it, it is called a filament. To add some glitzy glamour I die cut the leaves from the collection with gold glitter cardstock and tucked them in behind the floral die. I mounted the floral die-cut on the Oval die and gently Distress Oxide Ink Seedless preserves. I added some small glass domes as decorative embellishments on the card front.

For the sentiment, I used Just Wanted to Say glimmer plates and foiled them with gold foil on white cardstock. I used the same gold glitter cardstock to mount the strip to match the leaves.

Spellbinders | Toolbox Release

Hi all, welcome to today’s blog post with the Spellbinders Toolbox Collection designed by Nancy McCabe. I am loving this release so very much. I started today’s card cutting down some pattern paper for a matting layer. I then cut an oval die and ran it through the big shot with the Circle Illusion 3D embossing folder for some added interest. I have die cut with the All Tools Etched dies with black, silver and white cardstock and assembled these all together with my mono Tombow adhesive. The sentiment is from the Nailed it Glimmer plate which I had foiled with Silver foil. I mounted the sentiment strip on black cardstock then foam mounted on the card front.

Spellbinders | Toolbox Release

Hi all, welcome to today’s blog post for Spellbinders made with the new Toolbox Release that the talented Nancy McCabe designed. This has quickly become a staple in my collection. I have used the All the Tools etched dies and cut them out with black and silver cardstock. I adhered it down on Cocoa Vanilla pattern paper which I dusted off from the hoard vault. Don’t you think this pattern paper almost looks like paint strips? For the sentiment, I foiled with Silver foil with the Just wanted to say hot foil plates on white cardstock. The strip of white cardstock was mounted on a black strip of cardstock.
