Holiday Blog Hop with Catherine Pooler & WOW! Embossing Powder

I have to say I have been having a ball playing with the Catherine Pooler Holidays release.
Today I am playing with the Angel Wings die and Merry Christmas Angel stampset in my first card set.

Now becuase today is a hop you most likely have come from Catherine Pooler Desgns Blog your next hop is to the very talented Daniel West.
I have a full list of the line up towards the end of my blog post for you all just in case you get lost in the hop.

Did I mention there are PRIZES for this collaborative hop?
Both Catherine Pooler Designs & WOW! Embossing Powder are each giving away a $25 gift card to their stores just by you leaving a comment on each of the designers blog posts. Each comment gets an entry to the hop so comment away so us some crafty kindness as we are super excited to read your comments along the way.

For the Angel wings dies card I have done some really light ink blending with some distress oxide inks.
The card on the left I have used Black soot and Hickory Smoke oxide inks and the card on the right I have used Tattered Rose and Spun Sugar. The key to get a smooth inkblending I have used the make up blending brushes. To get the glittery wings I have used Iced Silver & Aladdin Embossing Glitter.

These trio of cards I have masked the labels dies with some purple tape and heat embossed in selected sections. I found doing this technique really show cases the new Catherine Pooler Bundle Up Trios embossing powder really well. There is such a fabulous array of sparkly texture .
The above card I have used the Sage Embossing Glitter & below I have used Peppermint Scrub from the Bundle Up Trios – Inspired by Catherine Pooler.
Christmas Cards
Lastly but not the least the above card I used the Skylight Embossing Glitter.
I hope you enjoyed today’s blog collaboration and please visit each of the Designers blogs.

Kat Scrappiness : Merry Critters Waterfall Card

Hi all, welcome to today’s blog post where I have made a waterfall card with the brand new Merry Critters stampset from Kat Scrappiness.

I have copic coloured each of  these little cuties in. My paper of choice is from Pinkfresh Oh Joy 6″ x 6″ pack.

The main mechanism is the waterfall rectangle. It measures 2″ x 8″ and scored at 2″, 2 1/2″, 3″ & 3 1/2″.

The anchor measures 3/4″ by 4 1/8″. My tip with the anchor is to only place really strong adhesive on the outer edge only.

Slip the longer part of the waterfall compinent behind the anchor. THis will be your pull down function.

Cut up 4 pieces of the 2″ x 2″ square in cardstock.  Adhere some pattern paper 1 7/8″ x 1 7/8″ on top of the cardstock. These panels are the square panels that need to be adhere straight on the ling rectangle pull mechanism.

I have made a quick process video for you all. Sit back get a cuppa and hop you enjoy today’s creation.

Craftie Cafe: Z Fold Christmas Card

Hi Everyone and welcome to today’s blog post for Craftie Cafe Online Store.

Today I have made a super simple interactive card design with the Z Fold template. This card template is super easy and can easily be mass-produced which is handy for the Christmas Holidays.

For my family we hand out several cards, tags and gift sets as we feel we have a lot of people to be thankful for in our lives.

By simply using your existing card base and altering the card old anyone can create these cards.

Craftie Cafe have recently added these fabulous Christmas Stampset and Coordinating dies from Lil Inker where you can add your sentiment either the centre of the Christmas tree or just create super cute, adorable small Christmas trees.

Along with Lil Inker stamps and dies I have used an array of Lawn Fawn products such as embossing powders, dies and papers.

Craftie Cafe: Lawn Fawn Cheery Christmas Card

Jo Herbert - 160517 - Christmas - Picture 1

Hello paper crafting peeps and welcome to today’s blog post. I am preparing for working on my Christmas in July projects. Now I know it’s a bit early to start working on it but the key for me as a full time worker, mum of 3 very active kids plus having an awesome hobby is to be organised and prepare. Around this time I start sketching out card layouts and designs that I can make in bulk. The colouring of the stamped images are what took the longest however when I mass produce this card I will get the kids to help with the stamping and colouring therefor making it into a family event.

All products and supplies are available at the Craftie Cafe store. Links below in the supplies table.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and don’t forget to visit, like, subscribe or comment on any of my social media platforms.

Happy Paper Crafting.

Hugs Jo
