To make today’s card I have used the Brillian Burst hot plate against navy cardstock which makes hot foil stamp look even brighter. For the Poinsettia die I have used 2 x different types of red cardstock to add a little offset of colour per petal leave layer. To finish the card I used the Noel hot foil plate which comes with a coordinating die too.

Can I just say what an honor it is to be part of this fabulous celebration and release. ❤️ I went to town making a tonne of inspiration which you will be seeing over the next week or so across all my socials. For today’s hop, I used the Floral Balloon Extravaganza stamp and die set along with the Dazzling Fireworks cover die. I made sure I stamped with black archival ink to be able to add a colour wash effect to the balloon images so the image wouldn’t bleed into the cardstock. Because I chose a light colour wash effect I used watercolour brush markers. For one of the cards, I used some ink splatters for added effect.

YOUR NEXT STOP ON THE HOP ——>>>>> Tania Ridgwell. <<<<———-
One thing I like to do is create my own glitter paste with Transparent Gloss texture paste and mix it up with the WOW! Embossing Powder Sparkles or Earth Sparkles. I like making my own for the projects that I need so I don’t have to buy a whole jar of glitter paste and just make my own as I need it. For my first card I have used the Holiday Bliss pattern paper for the card base. For the coloured inked panel I have swiped the the navy panel around the edges to create a matted panel which I have also done the same for the layered die cut sentiment. For all my projects I have used both the Merry and Bright stencil and the Holly stencil.
For a different effect but still playing with pastes as a medium I have used embossing paste. Instead of mixing the sparkles within the paste I place the paste through the Holly stencil and while wet and tacky pour the Oh Dorothy sparkle over the top. I set aside to dry the panel. Now as the sparkle is sitting on top and not embedded into the the paste you will get some fall out. What I recommend is get a light fluffy brush and brush over the top gently to swipe away any excess. The embossing paste works pretty well however it is a tip I recommend to do to prevent you wearing the sparkles LOL.
For this card I have pressed my WOW! ultra slow drying ink pad through the stencil on white cardstock and have generously poured the Cranberry Sparkle over the top to heat set. For the sentiment I have die cut and heat set the first layer with Metallic Rich Gold. This gold in super fine is one of my go to powders. It is a staple in my stash and it has such a beautiful sheen and regal effect to the type of finish gold result.
This card I have done the same technique as card 1. The only thing differently I did is the sentiment where I created my own embossed glitter card stock. I heat embossed a whole panel by pressing my ink to my card stock and generously pouring the embossing glitter and heat setting it. I then die cut the sentiment out and adhere it down to the card front. This particular card design is the size of a standard slimline card.
Now as this is a blog hop don’t forget to comment along each of the design teams creations for a chance to win a $25 gift card to WOW! Embossing Powder AND Paper Roses online stores. As mentioned above your next hopper is ——>>>>> Tania Ridgwell. <<<<———-. The full line up is listed below. At any stage you get lost you can head over to the WOW! Embossing Powder blog to find your way again.

Hi all, welcome to today’s blog hop where two fabulous design teams have created some wonderful inspiration for you all.

For the first card I created an inked background & sentiment panel with the Royal Treatment ink. I heat embossed the wand from the new Big & Bold Ruby Slippers with Metallic Gold Rich embossing powder. The sentiment panel I have heat embossed with Opaque Bright White
For the background of the stars I have used the Star stencil, Tacky when Dry gel medium and Glitter gold FABfoil from embossing powder. I have used the DOVD blender pen to colour in the heat embossed wand with Sauna and Royal Treatment ink.
I loved playing with the Paradise Found inks and for the second cards ink blended panel I have used Sauna and Mandarine Spice. I stamped the ruby shoes with WOW! Embossing ultra slow drying ink and heat embossed with Ebony embossing powder. I then coloured in with the dove blender pen with Peppermint Scrub ink. To get the glittery shoe effect I added wanderlust embossing glitter which I heat set. I fussy cut the shoes out and adhere down on the ink blended panel.
To finish the card off I heat embossed the sentiment with Opaque Bright white embossing powder on black cardstock.
