Trinity Stamps : Watercolour Resist

Hi All Jo here and welcome to another Youtube vid for Trinity Stamps. Today’s card creation will be using the Let Love Grow Stampset with a Watercolour resist technique. I have heat embossed the image with WOW! Embossing Powders and created a glittery trim for added sparkle.

I first heat embossed with WOW! Embossing Powder White Pearl Embossing Powder on Watercolour cardstock . I coloured the images in with Uniquely Creative Watercolours.

I did add some shading with Catherine Pooler “Mint to be” ink  to make the image pop that little more.

I then heat embossed the sentiment from the same stampset on vellum cardstock with Metallic Brass Embossing Powder and wrapped around the watercolour cardstock panel so its acts like a belly band so I didn’t have to add any liquid adhesive. I place the foam adheasive behind the panel to help secure the vellum cardstock.Pic 3

Before adhering down the watercolour panel down I have heat embossed the Under the Sea embossing powder on the right handside. I did an ink direct paper technique on the top folding cardstock to add some glittery element to the card. To finish the card off I added some of the Trinity Stams small star sequins.

Craftie Cafe: Taylored Expression Flowers Stamp with WOW Embossing

Hi All, welcome to another fun blog post for the Craftie Cafe Store. Today I will be focusing on this stampset from Taylored Expressions “Cutting Edge Flowers stamps and dies”

Today I thought I would show you how the Lawn Fawn Yeti ink looks on Kraft coloured cardstock.  I have repeat stamped the large floral image from the stampset several tines in random order.  Even though this is rather subtle it is just another nice way to have created your own “pattern paper” as such. This is great way for maximizing your supplies with minimal effort.

I find having the Lawn Fawn Yeti ink is ‘must have’ in my ink collection.  I love using my white ink in a variety of ways. In my process video for today’s card I have used  this ink to make the WOW Embossing Powder which has an iridescent glitter throughout it stand out a little more instead of having used a clear sticky ink such as a versamark. This was a way for the opaqueness of the white ink to make the glitter stand out the little more.

To add a pop of colour I have used Distress Oxide inks and created my own “coloured cardstock ” as such as I have generously applied the Distress Oxide ink on white cardstock with a blending tool.  In hind site I could have just swiped the ink pad directly on the cardstock ….. a mental note for myself for next time. Do you have those moments where you realize after the fact there could have been an easier way. Yep that was one of those moments for me here.

Once the distress oxide ink is dried I ran through the Sizzix Bigshot with the Lawn Fawn Mini Pop Up Butterflies dies to cut out these bold butterflies.

Jo Herbert 040618 Flowers Card Pic 1I have layered the butterflies that are the same sizes doubling up to add another element to these which I have placed these randomly on the card. The single butterflies that I had remaining I placed on the inside of the card.

Birthday Card · Ellen Hutson

Ellen Hutson Hydrangea

Hi paper crafting peeps, welcome to today’s blog post. I have entered this card in the Ellen Hudson March Pin-sights challenge. I really love the inspirational picture with emerald greens and golds.  The technique used is from Jennifer McGuire using her white pencil and versa marker technique to added some monochromatic tones to my card.  Stampsets of choice was the Essentials by Ellen, Mondo Hydrangea & Totally Awesome sentiment.

I have used the large leave image and repeatedly stamped the white cardstock base with Simon Says Stamp Wet Cement Ink. For the centre featured image I have stamped with embossing ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  To add depth I have used my versa marker on the inside petals and white pencil colouring on the outside of each flower petals.

The sentiment has been heat embossed with gold embossing powder on white cardstock with an added strip of glitter cardstock behind to add some sparkle to the card.

To embellish the card I added some gold sequins.

I hope you enjoyed today’s creations.

Hugs Jo

Inspired By Stamping – Adding gold elements to your cards

Today I am demonstrating how to use your border stamps as gold embossed accents for your cards.
Each border stampset has been heat embossed with Gold Embossing powder on Inspired By Stamping Vintage Floral Paper Pad.  I have either kept the heat embossed pieces in straight cut or die cut them in circles pieces.
By using gold accents with the Vintage Floral Paper Pad I have created my take on turning this set with a modern twist along with some gold foil cardstock.

Each sentiment from the Happy Sentiment has been heat embossed with Gold Embossing powder and fussy cut out to place on each card.

Each card has Inspired By stamping Crochet Trim / tape with an added touch of gold twine.

I have been spotted by MFT where they have featured a handful of crafters and shared our creation on their Spotted feature section.
This card was made for my daughters best friend who loves her converse shoes so it was very fitting to make this card.
The colour wash background is a technique I have learnt from the  Online Card Classes Intermediate Watercolour class. This panel has been placed slightly off set to add some fun element to the card.
I am yet to master this but technique but it was so much fun playing.
The Die and Stampset is from MFT “All-Star High tops”.
Pretty Pink post sequins have been place on the card to finish the embellishing.
