Heat Embossing · Water Colouring

Paper Rose Studio | Watercolour Bouquet Card

Hi all, welcome to today’s blog post for Paper Rose Studio. For today’s card, I have heat embossed the Hayley’s bouquet stamp set with WOW! Embossing Powder Opaque Bright White embossing powder on watercolour cardstock. I used my Karin brush markers and Altenew Brush markers to watercolour these in. I mounted the watercolour cardstock panel on black cardstock which I also mounted on a white side folding cardstock base. To make for a quick and simple finish I have used the Big Sentiement 1.0 pre-printed pack. To finish the card I added a sprinkle of Clear Crystal mix pack as embellishments.

Paper Rose Studio | Watercolour Protea Bouquet

Hi paper crafters, welcome to today’s blog post for Paper Rose Studio. I have made a watercolour card with the stunning Slimline Protea Bouquet gardens stampset and heat embossed with Super Fine Metallic Gold Rich embossing powder on white watercolour cardstock. I watercoloured the image with Altenew Brush markers in a variety of colours. For the sentiment, I die cut the Hugs die 3 times and heat embossed the top layer with Royal Emerald embossing powder. To finish the card off, I added some Crystal embellishments throughout the card front.

Paper Rose Studio

Paper Rose Studio | Simple Oval Ink Resist Card

Hello paper crafters and welcome to today’s blog post for Paper Rose Studio. Today’s card is a clean and simple design where I have heat embossed the Slimline Protea Bouquet stampset on white smooth watercolour cardstock with Opaque White Superfine embossing powder. I made my own oval template by die-cutting the stitched oval die and ink blending towards the centre of the card. I used Distress Inks – Picked Raspberry & Squeezed Lemonade. With the Picked Raspberry Distress Ink, I coloured white cardstock and swiped along to create my own coordinating coloured cardstock which I then die cut with the Layered Banner die. Using Picked Raspberry again I stamped the sentiment. To finish the card off I added some Crystal gems.

Die Cutting · Heat Embossing

Spellbinders | Victorian Garden Foilage

Hi all, welcome to today’s blog post with the latest Spellbinders Victorian Garden collection release. I have to die cut the leaves from the Victorian Garden Foilage dies and heat embossed them with the Midori Splice & Metallic Gold Rich super fine. The sentiment has been foiled with gold foil from the Just wanted to say sentiment plate collection. Before mounting the heat-embossed leaves I used a circle mark stencil to add some depth to the card front with Distress Oxide inks Squeezed Lemonade and Spiced Marmalade. To embellish the cards I used some glitter enamel dots. I had these for quite a while and had to use liquid glue just in case they lost a little of the adhesive backing.

Paper Rose Studio | Pre-Foiled Card Bases

Hi everyone, welcome to today’s blog post for Paper Rose Studio. I have to start off by saying WOWZER’s these pre-foiled card front panels are just absolutely stunning! They come in Gold or Silver, 6×6 or 12×12 packs as well as a variety of packs. They are ultra smooth too so great for Copic colouring and ink blending! That will be next on my agenda in my craft room to play with. For today’s I Copic coloured two cards. I will be the first to admit I blew the dust off my Copic markers to use. Ahhhhh yep, my markers needed some TLC and as I work my way through my craft room supplies you may see me use a variety of mediums over the next couple of months. I realised I was a little out of touch with my colouring so don’t go zooming in on my piccies now.

This year I am incorporating a “shop my stash” mindset. The theory behind this is for me to use what I have rather than hoard it. It isn’t looking pretty tucked away so I might as well enjoy the process and make pretty stuff. Right? The colour pallet for the two cards was led by the WOW! Embossing Powders I used for the HB2U sentiment, By the way, my kids asked me what HB2U stood for and just in case you didn’t know Happy Birthday to you 😜 Thought I better clarify that now. When I cut down these panels they fit perfectly on the Paper Rose Studio AU card bases. For the sentiment, I layered up with white cardstock behind it, 3 layers of cardstock worth. It made for a cool dimensional look.

For both cards, I finished them off with Crystals embellishment. I hope you like today’s card creation. Leave me a comment and don’t forget to visit me on my socials where I showcase other cards just for your viewing pleasure.

Paper Rose Studio

Paper Rose Studio | Embossed Feather Card

Hi all, welcome to today’s blog post for the Paper Rose Studio design team. Today, I have die-cut the Feather Trio and embossed it with the WOW! Embossing Powder Luxurious Chocolate embossing powder and boy oh boy does it add a pretty cool-looking texture to the die-cut.

I have created an ombre-style ink blended background panel with Catherine Pooler Fiesta Blue and a Mini dome ink blending sponge end tool. to finish the ink-blended panel off I die cut the panel with Pierced Rectangle die to add a dotted trim around the edges. This die is one of my go-to dies to make the panel look finished. I have matted the ink blended panel on black cardstock and then mounted it on a white side folding card base. For the sentiment, I have used a pre-printed sentiment from the Big Sentiments 1.0 pack. These make for a great quick and easy card creation.
