April Showers Bring Collection Slimline

For today’s card inspiration with the new Catherine Pooler April Showers Bring collection a slimline card using the Bloomin Wellies stampset which I have heat embossed and coloured in with Karin Markers. The beauty about the new collection they have coordinating dies yippee to not fussy cutting.

Have you seen there is also matching slimline pattern papers ! I have cut the paper to have a quarter inch border spacing to see the white card base peeking through. I have also used the Essentials Slimline dies and mounted that on the pattern paper.

For the sentiment, I die cut the warm hugs sentiment dies and pressed into the Lemongrass ink. I then added some glossy accents and poured the Squid Earth Sparkles and let that dry and set.

This card was super quick and easy to put together. I hope this inspired you to create something similar.

Love you, Chica Slimline card

I personally love slimline dies that help you with utilising the real estate card space. This hearts trio slimline die has th perfect size hearts to add little elements from your stash. Today I used the smaller of florals from the Life is Beautiful stampset.

Up on my youtube I show case in previous tutorials my tip in heat embossing larger panels so I can use them for die cutting. Here I used those panels and cut some squares out to fit behind each die cut hearts. I used the new WOW! Embossing Powder Fiesta Trios to fit behind each heart. To add a bit of vibrancy to the card I ink blended the edges with the nee Pucker Up ink. For the sentiment I used the new Ladies that lunch stampset. If you have not seen this stampset you are in for a treat. I love the fabulous sentiments in this set.

I heat embossed the floral images with Primary Ebony embossing powder on watercolour cardstock and used watercolour pencils and an aqua brush to watercolour these in.

Soft & Subtle Best Things in Life Slimline Card

I have another card for you today from the recent release from Catherine Pooler “For Your Crew” collection. I love love love the new ‘Best things in life’ floral collection and have enjoyed heat embossing these images in and using watercolour pencils to colour them in. I used WOW! Embossing Powder Primary Ebony embossing powder to heat set.

I used the Date night Ink collection – Serenade, Chiffon and In the Park inks to ink blend the die cut hearts. I left this card rather simple which I finished embellishing off with the Crater Lake clear sequins.

Alpine Village Christmas Card

I love playing with Catherine Pooler inks and I especially love ink blending with them. All week I have been playing adding depth by shading with the Black Jack Ink to almost get another colour blend.

I have mixed a previous release christmas stampset “Making Spirits Bright” for the sentiment and dainty snowflake and have paired it with the new Alpine Village stampset.

I first ink blended on watercolour cardstock with the Sugared lavender Ink with a mini ink blending tool starting from the outside and working my way to the centre of the panel. I then work with the grape crush ink in the same manner working towards the centre and having a light ink blending touch as I work my way in. Now for the added depth I used the Black Jack Ink and working with a light ink blending touch towards the outter side of the panel only.

I have heat embossed the sentiment with Opaque Bright White embossing powder and heat set with my WOW! Embossing Powder heat tool.

I stamped the Alpine Villages with Sangria, Grape Crush and Sugared Lavender and die cut them out with coordinating dies which I then adhere down with either liquid adhesive or foam squares.

I added a light mist of pearlescent sheen with Shimmer craft sparkle spray. To finish it off I added some clear squins from the crater lake mix.

Pinecone Greetings

Hi all just in case you missed my most recent youtube tutorial I showcased an array of ink blended panels with Catherine Pooler Inks and added extra depth and shading with the Black Jack ink.

Today, I have played with the Pinecone Greeting stampset where I have used Icing on the Cake ink to stamp the pinecone images. For an added layer I have stamped with the Pinecones with the WOW! Embossing Powder Ultra Slow drying ink and heat embossed with Metallic Brass.

For the sentiment I heat embossed with Opaque Bright White. To finish the card off I used a team sparkly ribbon from my ribbon hoard vault. That’s right I have a hoard fault with ribbon and I struggle to part with it. LOL Does anyone else have one of those?

Hope you like my second card creation playing with the ink blended panels.
