Spellbinders | Victorian Garden Release

Hi all, welcome to today’s blog post with the latest Spellbinders Victorian Garden collection release. I have die cut the Mason jar & Lavendar set and the Victorian Garden Foilage dies. The dies have been die-cut with pre-embossed panels from a range of WOW! Embossing Powders. Two of the powders are from my very own collection – Midori Splice & Fruit Tingle. These are a bright mix of powders that add some lovely sparkle and shine to your projects. I have also added a spring of gold embossing powder too. I kept the mason jar in white with the springs adding color. The sentiment has been foiled with teal foil from the Just wanted to say sentiment plate collection. To finish the card off I added some crystal drops and a linen floss bow.

Spellbinders | Four Petals Collection

Did you play along the Spellbinders instagram hop? Click here to check it out https://www.instagram.com/p/CosM2m_r4iQ/

With my blog post today I am working with a very similar colour pallet this time I have added some heat embossing with the Dappled Effects Trio embossing powder set from WOW! Embossing Powder. I know this is not a traditional colour combo , however I am all about mixing it up and venturing out my normal creative style.

I am loving the new script sentiments sentiment dies, they have a cool looking font to the words. Did you also see how many words you get in the set? Lots of versatility to be able to make a HUGE array of cards. I also added gold accents to the word dies and floral petals for added interest. How detailed is the Scrolled Punch & Pierce plate die, I am loving the different components to this die to be able to play with layers on your card creations.

Spellbinders | Four Petals Release

Hi all, Welcome to today’s card inspiration with the NEW Spellbinders Four Petals release. I have used Distress Oxide re-inkers to do a light colour wash technique for this foiled tulip image. This image comes with coordinating dies which I have used but I did give it a little haircut on the right-hand side to make the image appear in the center of the panel which is mounted on a punched pierced cover die. This tulips set also comes with a beautiful sentiment which I have also used on today’s card.

April Showers Bring Collection Slimline

For today’s card inspiration with the new Catherine Pooler April Showers Bring collection a slimline card using the Bloomin Wellies stampset which I have heat embossed and coloured in with Karin Markers. The beauty about the new collection they have coordinating dies yippee to not fussy cutting.

Have you seen there is also matching slimline pattern papers ! I have cut the paper to have a quarter inch border spacing to see the white card base peeking through. I have also used the Essentials Slimline dies and mounted that on the pattern paper.

For the sentiment, I die cut the warm hugs sentiment dies and pressed into the Lemongrass ink. I then added some glossy accents and poured the Squid Earth Sparkles and let that dry and set.

This card was super quick and easy to put together. I hope this inspired you to create something similar.

Love you, Chica Slimline card

I personally love slimline dies that help you with utilising the real estate card space. This hearts trio slimline die has th perfect size hearts to add little elements from your stash. Today I used the smaller of florals from the Life is Beautiful stampset.

Up on my youtube I show case in previous tutorials my tip in heat embossing larger panels so I can use them for die cutting. Here I used those panels and cut some squares out to fit behind each die cut hearts. I used the new WOW! Embossing Powder Fiesta Trios to fit behind each heart. To add a bit of vibrancy to the card I ink blended the edges with the nee Pucker Up ink. For the sentiment I used the new Ladies that lunch stampset. If you have not seen this stampset you are in for a treat. I love the fabulous sentiments in this set.

I heat embossed the floral images with Primary Ebony embossing powder on watercolour cardstock and used watercolour pencils and an aqua brush to watercolour these in.

Soft & Subtle Best Things in Life Slimline Card

I have another card for you today from the recent release from Catherine Pooler “For Your Crew” collection. I love love love the new ‘Best things in life’ floral collection and have enjoyed heat embossing these images in and using watercolour pencils to colour them in. I used WOW! Embossing Powder Primary Ebony embossing powder to heat set.

I used the Date night Ink collection – Serenade, Chiffon and In the Park inks to ink blend the die cut hearts. I left this card rather simple which I finished embellishing off with the Crater Lake clear sequins.
