Craftie Cafe: Lawn Fawn Meow You Doin?

Hi All, Welcome to today’s blog post for the Craftie Cafe online store.

Today I made a cute card with the Lawn Fawn “Meow You Doin?” stampset. One of my all time favourite techniques is creating my own background by repeat stamping. In this case I have heat embossed by using the a clear sticky ink as well as a clear hologram sparkle embossing powder from WOW Embossing.

I am very excited to announce that Craftie Cafe now stocks WOW embossing powders! Who doesn’t love the WOW Embossing powder range.

I have kept today’s card very simple which I have added bold bright colours from the Lawn Fawn Rainbow 6 x 6 inch Paper Pack placed behind the die cut heart window of the heat embossed panel & rainbow cardstock pack.

The card base is a white top folding base as this is my favourite type of card to use which I cut an score in bulk to have handy at all times. I stamped the cat and the tin of tuna stamp with Versafine Onyx Black ink which I have hand cut out. I chose not to colour the images in this time as I liked the stark white that coordinates with the card base and to coordinate white on the pattern paper.

Using the same paper pack I chose to heat emboss with Lawn Fawn White embossing powder on a panel for the sentiment. To finish the card off I have added some pretty pink posh clear sequins.

Craftie Cafe: Lawn Fawn Easter Cards

Hi All and welcome to today’s blog post for the Craftie Cafe online store.  As you can see by my card creations I am focusing on Easter. Today I have used mainly Lawn Fawn  products as well as Distress Oxide Inks. I have done a very light water colouring on the bunnies but nothing complicated as I made these in bulk.

The most tedious part of the whole card process was the Lawn Fawn Quilted backdrop where I poke all the wholes out to reveal the colour cardstock I used as a card base.

I then heavily foam mounted little rectangles behind each quilted die as you will see in my You Tube video tutorial. I did not hold back with my foam mount adhesive through out these cards lol

Just how sweet are the Heart stack-able dies both the Lacey and stitched?  I love how these Lawn Fawn dies are well co-ordinated to nest within each other.

I colour coordinated the ink and the cardstock as I wanted to keep these simple yet sweet and able to make these in bulk. To do this I used the Ranger Distress Oxide Inks and ranger cardstock.

I plan to send these out to the in-laws for Easter as I wont’ be seeing them during this Easter time.

Do you send Easter Cards out? I would love to know what type of cards you make for Easter? I have lately to gravitated towards cute and sweet cards especially in the past couple of years where as before hand I use to make lots of florals or religious base Easter Cards.

Thanks a million for stopping by.

Happy Paper Crafting

Craftie Cafe: Congrats Graduation Card

Hi Everyone and welcome to today’s blog post. This blog post is brought to you for Craftie Cafe online craft store.

Here in Australia the school students graduate at the end of the year. This year in particular is special as my middle child graduates from her primary school at the end of the year. Already she has sparkled like an amazing girl that she is. My daughter Skye has shown great leadership and taken on her responsibilities to these roles quite seriously still keeping to her fun loving self. My heart burst with pride as to what an amazing young lady she has become.  I’ll be making a bunch of these cards for mothers to give to their graduates and write a loving note to them on the inside. Please visit my You Tube channel on how to make today’s card.

Craftie Cafe: Lawn Fawn Cheery Christmas Card

Jo Herbert - 160517 - Christmas - Picture 1

Hello paper crafting peeps and welcome to today’s blog post. I am preparing for working on my Christmas in July projects. Now I know it’s a bit early to start working on it but the key for me as a full time worker, mum of 3 very active kids plus having an awesome hobby is to be organised and prepare. Around this time I start sketching out card layouts and designs that I can make in bulk. The colouring of the stamped images are what took the longest however when I mass produce this card I will get the kids to help with the stamping and colouring therefor making it into a family event.

All products and supplies are available at the Craftie Cafe store. Links below in the supplies table.
