For my card, I played with my Courture Creations alcohol inks, WOW! Embossing Powder embossing glitters and Catherine Pooler Designs stamps.

To make today’s card I used some pre-made alcohol ink backgrounds. I don’t know about you but I make these ready to use for quick to reach card making. I have used Courture Creations Cerulean, Ice Blue metallic allow & Turquoise glitter accents alcohol inks. These inks I am able to purchase here in Australia through my local scrapbooking store Daisy Chain Scrapbooks & online Auzz Trinklets.

I have heat embossed a whole panel with WOW! Embossing Powder Aquamarine embossing glitters which I then die cut with Spellbinders Elegant ovals and a strip for the sentiment. For the coffee cup I have heat embossed the Catherine Pooler image from the Life is Brewtiful stampset with Ebony powder on watercolour cardstock. I coloured the image in with Karin brush markers & Altenew watercolor brush markers.

Hi all, welcome to today’s post where I have played with layering stamps in a different way. With a twist, I have layered the build a flower stamps with embossing powders. I have created a step by step youtube tutorial revealing all my tips and tricks to layering embossing powders. My tutorial show cases my very own Pink-a-licous Trios from WOW! Embossing Powder. I have used an oldie but a goodie layered stampset – Build-a-flower “Camellia.

This is part of my submission as part of the Altenew AECP program. My course I have learnt from today is the Impressive Heat Embossing by Svetlana Marchenko. I have put my own spin on my submission and this course gave me the confidence to think outside the square when it comes to heat embossing. AECP Educator Program | With a Twist Card Angel Card

Therese takes your favourite techniques and gives a twist! Get more out of your current products and think of different way to jazz up your paper crafting projects. Get new ideas and bring new purpose to your stamps, dies, and inks!

For my card I recreated the card base style where Therese partially angle card the card front. I love this style as it give such a cool and different look with just your paper trimmer.

The colour pallet I have chosen is a cool, minty collection from the Green Meadows quad ink pack. I stamped the leaves on the white card front and mounted that on a mint top folding card base. I heat embossed the largest of the floral cluster and arranged it so it partially peaked to the side of the card front.

I have created a tutorial on how I made the card.

AECP Educator Program | Beautiful Details

Learn different tips and techniques from Marika Rahtu on adding various details to your project to take it to the next level!

If you are looking for ways to use various mediums on your projects and maybe felt your projects may need a bit more of something? Then this class is perfect for you!

I have learned so much from Marika that I now look at my mediums differently. Even my ordinary black sharpies and pigments pen which I write with, I used for added dotted detail on today’s card.

Ill be honest with you here I had an enormous amount of gelli prints that created with Altenew stencils so I picked this Mega Bloom stencil from my stash that I thought would work great for this card. I placed the stencil back over the gelli print image and traced with my sharpie permanent ultra fine tip pen. I didn’t trace around each and every petal but I chose to trace one side only of each petals. I then added some dotted detail around the other side of the petals.

I also added thin black strips of black card stock on the corners of the card front.

Check out my youtube tutorial up on my channel.

I just couldn’t help myself and made another card this time adding dotted detail on the outer part of the watercoloured image. The below large image is from the ‘Courageous You’ which I heat embossed with WOW! Ebony powder on watercolour cardstock. I coloured the embossed image in with Karin Brush markers and an aqua pentel brush.

In addition to the beautiful details class I also got the idea to trim on an angle the card front as an added detail from the “With a Twist” clasess from Therese Calvird. Theresa’s class takes your favourite techniques and give a twist! She teaches you how to get more out of your current products and think of different way to jazz up your paper crafting projects.

So for this card I added the painted dots washi tape in the inner part of the cardbase so it peaks through the angled cut.
I also have another card for that class on my youtube coming shortly.

Take your favorite techniques and give a twist! Let’s get more out of your current products and think of different way to jazz up your paper crafting projects. Get new ideas and bring new purpose to your stamps, dies, and inks!

Altenew AECP – In the Mood | Orange – Health, Happiness, Courage

Instructor Stephanie Klauck teaches you all about your emotions and how it relates to colours. Feeling happy? excited? or blue? Learn how you can take your mood and apply it to your cards! In this class, you will learn various ways to add colors to your projects depending on your mood.

As part of my Altenew Educator Program I have not only loved learning all about colours but hot is also relates to emotions AND theories. I have learned so much as part of this online classes creative journey. I am so grateful for this opportunity and to the wonderful teachers that have taken the time to implement such credible classes.

Now on to my card creation…..

I kept it rather simple and applied the colour Orange with the Martian Terrain Inks. I added some interest by also heat embossing with clear embossing powder from WOW! Embossing Powder over the whole stamped image. For me, this card really spoke because of the sentiment which I felt related to the colour orange. I have so much gratitude for the crafting friends I have met along my journey and like to encourage them just like they have done for me along the way. My goal is not only to try new techniques as part of these classes but to really create with intent and most cases the recipient in mind.

I have made a youtube tutorial of my card creation for today.

CASE Your Fellow AECP Crafter Hop

Hi all, today I am playing part of a special blog hop with a fabulous group of very talented crafters from the Altenew Educator Certification Program. This group has a special place in my heart as I embark on my crafting journey to find my authentic style. For something different we are all playing along and have been matched up to crafters to CASE each other. CASE means Copy And Share Everything
but it can be interpreted in many ways. I am very lucky to have been given the talented Yasmine Magdy Sadek. I chose the below picture of hers to CASE

I am the last person in the hop so just in case you have missed it I have link back to the top of the hop list where it all started thanks to the amazing coordiantor of this hop Natasha Davies. https://youtu.be/O1WQDqugvME

My stampset of choice today is from the Kindness Reminders. I really enjoyed watercolour this image in. I have been practicing using a ‘new to me’ which are the product the Watercolour Brush Markers. Can I just say WOWzers these babies are PIGMENTED. Not even joking. To practice my control of distributing the ink I had 2 clean water aqua brushes handy as well as a microfibre cloth (paper towel is another option). I have created a youtube of my cardmaking process on today’s card.
