Hi everyone and welcome to today’s blog post using some fabulous goodies from MFT.
With Valentine’s day coming up I have made this sweet fun interactive card to play along with this month’s Craftie Cafe online store theme.
I love how MFT have created a co-ordinating stampset, dies, pouches AND shaker embellishments / enamel accents which I have used for today’s card. The Design Team is focusing on Love & Friendships this month and I thought I would kick start it to fall in line with Valentine’s Day.
Even though is a rather quick and easy the boldness of the colours and black and white stripes really pop.
When ink blending for the “Love” sentiment I went out to achieve an ombre ink blending where I went heavier handed on one side then lightened my hand pressure towards the other side. I demonstrate this in my You tube video linked below.
Unintentionally I ended up using most of MFT supplies on my card.
To add a pop of colour I have used Distress Ink Candied Apple and I have added a distress look to the inking by sprinting water and picking the excess up with a dry cloth. I have been obsessing about my Distress Oxide Inks lately that my normal Ranger Distress Inks have been a bit neglected so I dusted them off and have started using them again. Watch out for some of upcoming projects as I have revived my love for the inks again.
I hope you enjoyed today’s card creation and I look forward to reading your comments.

I have created a special card for my husband to celebrate Valentines’s Day.
Both stampsets arefrom Inspired By Stampin “My Valentine’s” and “Fancy Labels 3”. The flower arrangement has been lightly watercoloured in to tie in the green and pink papers and cardstock.
I kept this rather simple as to suit my husbands style. I have used stitched rectangle and circle dies plus the leaves from the new Rose Garden Die from Stampin Up.
The paper is from Teresa Collins you make me happy collection.
Hope you spend and enjoy this day with your loved ones.
Hi All, I have a treat for you today! As much as I love making cards I love creating gift tags to go along with gift sets that I have made. I just love seeing the recipients take such great care in looking at the tag let alone opening unwrapping their gift.
I hope today’s tag creations inspires you to add a little something when it comes to gift giving.
The acetate with gold foil accents is from Crate Paper wonder collection. I have used a range of heart punches and dies for these creations.
The inks used for the tags are Onyx Black Versafine, Versmark & Moment Luxe Love Letter.
On some tags I have used Super Fine Gold Embossing Powder to heat emboss some sentiments.
Cardstock for the tags are gold foil, black and white.
Made this card for my husband for Valentine’s Day.
Used the Heart’s stencil from Stampin Up with Wendy Vecchi white embossing paste for the tag backdrop.
I absolutely love the Lawn Fawn Co-ordinating “Love You Tons” stampset and die. The elephants have been copic coloured in with C0, C2, C3 & C7.
The love die cut is from Lawn Fawn and cut out with silver glittered cardstock.
For the heart I have used the Mini Hearts Set Die from Simon Says Stamp.
To embellish the tag top of the card I have used blushing bride chevron ribbon from Stampin Up.
I have entered this card in the following blog competitions –
I have created my own resist background design using the hugs and kisses hearts from Inspired By Stamping “Hearts”stampset.
The centre panel has been sponged with Strawberry Slush ink and Blushing bride to create an ombre colour combination on the heat resist background.
For the sentiment Sripty Love die from Lawn Fawn has been cut out with a layer of glossy accents for a 3D effect over the top.
I have entered in the Addicted to CAS blog challenge HUGS & KISSES.
