Now onto my creations I have used the “A cup of thanks” stampset. I have heat embossed this image with the WOW! Embossing Powder British Summer. To describe this colour I would say it is a muted dark platinum silver. It it quite a regal colour to play with and loved how the image turned out. I have added some light ink blending behind the watercolour image and some ink splatters to help focus on the image. have used Fabre-Castell watercolouring pencils. For the sentiment I have used Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder on some Wisteria cardstock.
For the second card I have used Bright White Opaque embossing powder as well as the Sand Dunes Embossing glitter. I have used the Brush Stroke Stripes stampset. This stampset can be used individual stripes at a time but I kept the whole stampset in tact and stamped with it on Kraft cardstock. The Sand Dunes embossing glitter looks a touch darker than it would on white cardstock which give the glitter a bit more depth.
I have heat embossed the “a cup of thanks” stampset again with Opaque Bright white and used watercolour pencils again but with a more colour wash effect. Ipicked more cooler tones and added some blue wash around the image. I die cut the image out with the Darling Ribbon & Dotted Frames dies.
As a bit of interest I have stamped the image with Catherine Pooler Tiara Ink and the “thanks” sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink.
Hi all, Jo here welcome to today’s blog post where the theme for this month is “Metallics”.
To show case a metallic colour from the Glintz range I have chosen Rose Glintz. I have to say this colour is just so stunning and looks like liquid pink rose gold when heat embossed.
I have chosen Pink Fresh Studio Floral Fancy Cover Dies 1 & 2. The bottom layer is the layer which I have coated with the Ultra Slow Drying Clear Embossing Ink by placing the ink pad directly on the cardstock. I pressed fairly hard during this process as I wanted a good layer of ink so the rose glintz was all over the detailed parts of the die cut. This layer was adhered directly over the top folding white card base.
For the top layer I have also used a white card stock which leaves the Rose glintz peaking through.
The Pink Fresh Studio Word Series : Believe sentiment has been heat embossing with
Super Fine Bright White Opaque Embossing Powder on American Crafts shrimp cardstock foam mounted on the card front.
For the add on sentiment I used Simon Says Stamp Pale blush ink stamped on White cardstock then mounted on the shrimp cardstock for an added layer adhered down with liquid adhesive.
Here is my cardmaking process from my YouTube channel.
Trinity Stamps will be giving away a gift card over on their blog. All you need to do is leave a comment on their blog to be in the running to win.
The Coffee Loving Cardmaker’s blog will also do a giveaway. It will run for one week with the winner announced on Monday, October 8th.
So here is how I made my card –
1. Using a coffee stencil I place Nuvo Glimmer Paste (moonstone) over the top of the white card base. Set aside to dry.
2. While the paste was drying I coloured the images in with copic markers – E93, R22, R11, E33, E35, C-3 & C-5. Foam mount tape.
3. Die cut with the Uniquely Creative Doily die with white cardstock. Foam mount on the white cardbase making sure the glimmer paste is dry before pressing down.
4. Adhere down the images and sentiment on the doily die.
Hi all, Jo here and welcome to a clean and simple card design for you. One thing I like to do is stretch the dies I have and use them in different ways. For today’s card creation I have used my dies as a back drop on my card front. With using white cardstock on white cardstock I was able to get a tone on tone effect. I find this technique can be impactful in a subtle way. The die I have used today is from the September release Wine Not? from Kat Scrappiness collection.
For a pop of colour I have used a deep red / cherry colour cardstock die cut with the stitched hearts from the Kat Scrappiness collection.
For the sentiment I have used the coordinating stampset and heat embossed with Opaque Bright White Super Fine from WOW! Embossing Powders.
I finished the card off with some Clear Sparkling jewels.
I have made a quick video tutorial on how I made the card below.
Hi Everyone and welcome to today’s cute card creation using planner stamps from Taylored Expressions for the Craftie Cafe design team.
The cute little critters from the Taylored Expressions Calendar critters stampset are just sooo adorable and I had so much fun playing and stamping with them in my previous Craftie Cafe blog post I just couldn’t help design a card with them. This way you get to see that it is not just for the Calendar Kit but can use them in your everyday stamping and would make a great essential stampset to add to your collection.
Now for the card …… for added Texture to my cards I have started using embossing folders again as the ones from Taylored Expressions do not only add such a unique gorgeous elements to the card but a 3D element that adds texture finishing the overall card creation.
I have repeat stamped the same little critter that I have penciled coloured in on a sandy gray coloured cardstock to created a faux pattern panel that I adhered down on a white top folding card front on the left hand side with foam tape so it pops off the card front.
I am just loving the cross stitched die designs from Lawn Fawn. Lawn Fawn offers them in circles, rectangles and squares which are all available in the Craftie Cafe Online Store. These cross stitched designs add an interesting & fun element to otherwise would be a plain die cut shape. Here I have cut a little off the left hand side of the circle to tuck underneath the tag.
If you are yet to try the embossing powder range from Lawn Fawn please do yourself a favour and add them to your collection as the quality is amazing!
