Today’s blog hop is all about sharing the love of her products and for today’s card creation I have used the Freshly Bouquet stampset from her floral collections. This is a large image that has a beautiful arrangement of flowers. I have stamped with black onyx versafine ink and watercoloured the image in with watercolouring pencils. Cardstock of choice is textured Strathmore 140 lb / 300 gsm cold press paper.

Inspired By Stamping: Friends

Hello papercrafting peeps and welcome to today’s blog post brought to you by Inspired By Stamping.

Today’s card I have made this fun, simple and elegant card using the Inspired By Stamping Butterflies Stampset & the cute little Friends sentiment stampset.

My ink of choice today is Versafine onyx black as this is a fine detail which is perfect for watercolouring or pencil colouring. The colour combination of pencils are from Prismacolour premium range PC1002 Yellowed Orange, PC918 Orange & PC915 Lemon Yellow. These pencils have a creamy texture to them and need very little blending but if you need to blend it I have found here in Australia Citrus Turpentine along with a blending paper stump tool works perfectly.

For this card I found once I have coloured the butterfly focal image in I didn’t need to do the extra blending and left it as is.

With the butterfly stamp I have stamped directly on the white cardstock slightly smaller than the top folding black card base.

2 times with the big butterfly either side so I can stamp another butterfly on a separate piece of cardstock as well along with a little butterfly on the bottom left.

The sentiment has also been stamped with the same ink on a smaller white piece of rectangle and matted on a black rectangle 1/4 inch bigger than the white cardstock.

To finish embellishing off the card I have used Black Nuvo drops which I have scattered throughout the whole card.

Cupcake Inspiration : #421

Hi All, I am super excited to participate in this awesome blog challenge where Joanne from Inspired By Stamping is sponsoring this week’s colour combination challenge #421 for the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge.

This week’s colour combination is below. I hope you come join the fun and play along.

Both stampsets used are from the recent July Release. I have watercoloured the Summer Bouquet stampset and have used the antique linen dress ink as a light in to place to watercolour over it.

I have kept the card overall simple with no embellishment as I let the watercolour be the main focus.
