Hi All and welcome to today’s blog post and You Tube brought to you for the Craftie Cafe Online store. Today I demonstrate how I made this fun floral water colour card using some Wplus9 products.
This vibrant watercolour pallet was used with some watercolour oil pastels from Prima. Sometimes it is worth looking at your watercolour mediums and think outside the box. Usually I would draw with these and then blend in with a wet brush. However for today’s card creation I have rubbed the pastels directly on the stamp then spritz it with water to help with the blending process. Not only did it stamp well but it kept the image in tact and I was able to build on the colour with picking up pigment directly from the oil pastel.
Now let me set the record straight I am not a watercolouring expert and I just wanted something light with some vibrancy that I had a lot of fun experimenting.
Originally I was just playing around on my desk grabbed a handful of stamps and mediums and hit the record button. This card just unfolded with no plan in mind.
For today’s card I also make a “sandwich” with my Sizzix bigshot with some thick cardstock, rubber mat and stencil to create an impressing on the card base. I am seeing this technique used a lot lately around the You Tube world. I think the trick is to figuring out what type of “sandwich” your machine uses and how deep on an impression you would like to make.
For mine I could have left the layer of the extra thick cardstock out, however I really wanted a deeper impression so I chose to add the extra layer. For a subtle layer I could have easily left it out. It is hard to see it in the pictures but you can see it in the video of the process.
Hope you enjoyed today’s card creation and don’t forget to like, share or comment.
Hi All, I have kept today’s card sweet and simple.
I have stamped the Cherry Blossom
stampset with Hero Arts White Unicorn Pigment ink. To keep the colour subtle I have used the Fabre – Castell light flesh #132 water colour pencil where I picked up the colour direct from the pencil onto the aqua painter brush brushing it on the image. To highlight the centre of the cherry blossom I have re-drawn with a white gel pen.
The sentiment is from the same stampset where there are some gorgeous verses to add to your paper crafting projects which has been stamped with Onyx Black ink in whisper white cardstock then punched out.
Using the same punch I punched out blushing bride cardstock which I cut in half and place behind the white cardstock sentiment. Behind the punch out I have used chevron ribbon and vellum in a banner cutout to add as a feature behind the sentiment.
To add some more colour to the Kraft card base I placed a strip of designer paper on the left hand side finishing off the card completely.
This is my last IBSIC blog post for the year and all I can say is that it has been such a fantastic inspiring year. I got to spend my first year as a DT with this beautiful stamping company and I am so glad I have been accepted as a DT for another year. If you haven’t yet used their products I highly recommend how versatile, fun and great quality their stampsets are.

Today’s blog post I have used the colour combination as my muse.
Instead of using all the colours and making one card I used a colour and created an individual card for each colour using the “Friends”
My style for today’s card is simple yet fun and can easily be done in bulk as it is my favourite way in creating cards as I like giving my creations away as packs to friends and family members.
Placing a strip of designer paper on the left hand side and a thin strip of black or white cardstock along side it as a contrast strip of colour to separate the designer series paper and card base.
Using a stitched circle die I then ran the die cut through an embossing folder to give some texture to the card. Each sentiment has been heat embossing with Metallic Gold Rich Super Fine embossing powder on black cardstock. The add on stamped sentiments has been stamped on a white strip cardstock and placed around the heat embossed black cardstock.
A punch has been used to make the bow as the embellished piece for the card.

Went through my hoard vault of flowers and pulled this vanilla flower out.
To stamp the sentiment I have used Versafine Onyx Black Ink.
Cardstock used for today’s card is Vanilla & Black.
To created this simple and fun butterfly card I have used the new Butterfly
stampset from Inspired By Stamping.
Cardstocks used is Whisper White, Basic Black & Crisp Cantaloupe.
Colour of inks used is Blushing Bride, Basic Black & Soft Sky.
The front butterfly I have used the Mega Flake Copper Kettle leaving such an intricate beautiful butterfly stamped image.
