WOW! Embossing Powder is one of the sponsors in the line-up. Up for grabs they have a $20 gift card to the USA store
Shop Link – USA Site. For more fabulous inspiration with WOW! Embossing Powders Blog, Youtube and Instagram.

For my card, I played with my Courture Creations alcohol inks, WOW! Embossing Powder embossing glitters and Catherine Pooler Designs stamps.

To make today’s card I used some pre-made alcohol ink backgrounds. I don’t know about you but I make these ready to use for quick to reach card making. I have used Courture Creations Cerulean, Ice Blue metallic allow & Turquoise glitter accents alcohol inks. These inks I am able to purchase here in Australia through my local scrapbooking store Daisy Chain Scrapbooks & online Auzz Trinklets.

I have heat embossed a whole panel with WOW! Embossing Powder Aquamarine embossing glitters which I then die cut with Spellbinders Elegant ovals and a strip for the sentiment. For the coffee cup I have heat embossed the Catherine Pooler image from the Life is Brewtiful stampset with Ebony powder on watercolour cardstock. I coloured the image in with Karin brush markers & Altenew watercolor brush markers.

As part of the WOW! Designer Team, WOW! has provided me a code for all my lovely Subscribers to use. So, don’t forget to take the advantage of a crafty 10% off all purchase for both WOW! US and UK by simply using my code: WOWDTJH

There is a line up of us card makers featuring today in celebration over on their blog. There is also a line up of sponsors donating prizes for those that leave a comment along the way. The below are just a couple of sponsors.

Funky Fossil Designs –  £25 credit to the store

Gracielle Design – $15 Gift Code

Jane’s Doodles – $25 Gift Code

Rachel Vass Designs – Winners choice of 3 images [$10 value] – one winner

There is also a prize for over on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog, they are giving away a $20 Gift Code to your favorite international crafty shop from our Super Sponsor listing.

Now onto my card. I recently purchased this stampset from Catherine Pooler Designs which I was super excited to break out for today. This stampset is called Life is Brew-tiful. I stamped the images with Versafine Onxy Black ink and heat embossed with clear gloss. I used the pigment ink from my Karin Markers and picked it up with an aqua brush.

I then ink blended the tag die cut with Catherine Pooler Polished ink with the Catherine Pooler large ink blending brush with a really light hand in circular motions.

For the card front panel I cut white cardstock up on an angle and ink blended with the Mint to Be ink and adhere down on a white top folding card front.

For the bottom half of the card front I used Kraft cardstock. To add some detail on the card front I heat embossed a strip of white cardstock with the ‘Made you Blush’ embossing glitter from the WOW! Embossing Powder Pink-a-licious Trio.

For the embellishments I have used sequins and teal twine.

I have kept both my card designs quite clean and simple. For my first card I have heat embossed the reverse part of the Uniquely Creative Stitched 3 windows die cut outs. I have heat embossed the panels only with the Seth Apter Cosmic Trios “Blue Moon”. I had already had these panels die cut out where I had used the main piece on another project. Do you have left over die cuts that you keep hand? I like keeping mine for later use and it came in handy for today’s card.

I have stamped with the Altenew Friends Forever stampset where I have stamped the coffee cup with the Altenew Obsidian Ink on white cardstock. I also stamped the same image on pattern paper from Uniquely Creative and paper pierced on the coffee cup. For the heart I die cut with the Catherine Pooler heart stackables and heat embossed with Razzleberry embossing glitter from the brand NEW Summer Scoops Trios. The sentiment was stamped on a strip of white card stock and to finish the card off I have embellished with Catherine Pooler crater lake sequin.

For the second card I have heat embossed over some pattern paper from Uniquely Creative where I have masked off a triangle section with with masking tape and heat embossed with Metallic Gold embossing powder. I love creating my own background designs with the masking heat embossed technique. Can you image doing this with shapes ?!?!? I have kept the rest rather simple by stamping and lightly watercolour the coffee cup. I added some glitter and embellishments and we are done. For a full supply list used please see at the end of my post.

I would also love it if you left a comment and let me know if you have done any of the above techniques mentioned.

Thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to visit my blog.

Happy Paper crafting
Jo

Below I have created 2 x card coffee inspired cards where I have used the WOW! Fab Foil with Deco Transfer Gel. To get this coffee bean background I have used a stencil and spread the transfer gel over the top with a spatula on white cardstock and set aside to dry. The transfer gel looks opaque to start with but as it dries it will dry clear and hard.
TIP – wash the stencil and spatula out straight away under soapy warm water.
This one panel I have created two cards by cutting it in half and used on two cards.
For something a little different I didn’t colour the actual stamped images from Trinity Stamps as I liked the boldness it leaves.
I have used some dies, kraft, black and white cardstock and coordinated and layered all the bits and pieced together.
