Hi All, Welcome to today’s blog post. Today, I will show you how The Background Lines
stampset can help you accentuate bold or subtle results for your cards. All 3 cards below I have used the same bold stripe by repeat stamping however with different colours they can be as bold as you like or as subtle as you like.
I prefer to use all pigment inks for the bold stripes as not only is this is a solid stampset which will provide really good coverage when used with pigment ink but I have also added a clear embossing powder which I heat embossed to add a sheen to the stripes. Unfortunately the photo’s doesn’t pick up on this detail.
This 1st card above I have used a bright red pigment ink to create a contrasting background to the pretty water coloured cherry blossoms
. I have used my Zig Clean and Clear markers to colour the Cherry Blossoms
stampset on all 3 cards. I have added some burlap & chevron ribbon along with some clear droplets to embellish the cards.
The 2nd card I have used a subtle pink ink as I felt that I didn’t want to take any focus of the bright beautiful pink cherry blossoms.
Because I didn’t add too much colour to the yellow cherry blossoms the ink I used for this card for the stripes was a muted gold metallic pigment ink. The gold ink chosen added a lovely shimmer and shine to the card.
I hope you liked today’s creations and bring out a well loved staple stampset such as the stripes.
Hi All, welcome to today’s blog post. I love the touch of gold on cards whether it be gold embossing powder, gold paper, sequins ribbon or card stock. A little touch of it always make your cards look elegant.
For today’s card set I have used a designer series paper that has a gold embossed lace pattern on it. To keep the gold touch through out the card I have used gold embossing powder for the Cherry Blossom stampset
which has been heat set on watercolour paper. I have coloured the images with my
ZIG Clean Color Real Brush markers.
The sentiment used for the cards is from the Spring Bouquet stampset. The thank you script font from this set is just elegant. The cards itself has been created rather simple. I hope you like today’s creation.
Hi All, I have kept today’s card sweet and simple.
I have stamped the Cherry Blossom
stampset with Hero Arts White Unicorn Pigment ink. To keep the colour subtle I have used the Fabre – Castell light flesh #132 water colour pencil where I picked up the colour direct from the pencil onto the aqua painter brush brushing it on the image. To highlight the centre of the cherry blossom I have re-drawn with a white gel pen.
The sentiment is from the same stampset where there are some gorgeous verses to add to your paper crafting projects which has been stamped with Onyx Black ink in whisper white cardstock then punched out.
Using the same punch I punched out blushing bride cardstock which I cut in half and place behind the white cardstock sentiment. Behind the punch out I have used chevron ribbon and vellum in a banner cutout to add as a feature behind the sentiment.
To add some more colour to the Kraft card base I placed a strip of designer paper on the left hand side finishing off the card completely.
