Die Cutting

Spellbinders | Victorian Garden Release

Hi all, welcome to today’s blog post with the Victorian Garden Collection from Spellbinders designed by Susan Tierney-Cockburn. I have used the Southern Magnolia dies from the collection and cut them with white cardstock and added some gentle ink blending towards the sentiment of the floral with Distress Oxide Mustard Seed ink. With the same ink, I added some colour to the center part. Now I know there is a name and I had to google it, it is called a filament. To add some glitzy glamour I die cut the leaves from the collection with gold glitter cardstock and tucked them in behind the floral die. I mounted the floral die-cut on the Oval die and gently Distress Oxide Ink Seedless preserves. I added some small glass domes as decorative embellishments on the card front.

For the sentiment, I used Just Wanted to Say glimmer plates and foiled them with gold foil on white cardstock. I used the same gold glitter cardstock to mount the strip to match the leaves.
