Catherine Pooler Designs | Date Night Inks

Catherine Pooler Designs have launched a brand new ink collection that is just absolutely beautiful. This collection is called “Date Night” all the names of the inks have a special meaning that is related to the collections name.

For the first card, I have blended Pucker Up, Serenade & Drive In with ink blending tools. My tip when it comes to ink blending is not only using good blending tools that suit your you and your blending style but to practice ink blending to master working with a light touch and working your your way to add pressure to increase colour depth and intensity. PLUS it also helps having amazing inks to blend with 😜 Oh it also helps to have smooth cardstock like the Catherine Pooler white cardstock. Never forget about the cardstock!

I have die cut the Savannah Cover plate die which I then mounted on the ink blended panel. The panel is a perfect design to show case the ink blended panels to peek through. I have also stamped the Happy Butterflies with the Drive In ink then heat embossed with the NEW Halo Embossing Glitter. Can I just say MY MY MY this clear iridescent embossing glitter is absolutely beautiful.

I wanted to show case in my cards how well not only do these inks blend but how well they actually go together as well. I have created 2 cards with the below card I have used Chiffon, Catching Rays and DO-SI-DO inks. I have heat embossed with Gold Rich embossing powder for the butterfly on vellum.

Both sentiments have been heat embossed on the left over panels of the ink blended panel with Opaque Bright White embossing powder. My tip for heat embossing sentiments is to use a super fine version of the powder to capture the fine details of any sentiments or stamped images.

I hope you enjoy today’s card creation. Now also over on my instagram CPD is giving away 8 $25 Gift Cards this week- one for each new color!  https://www.instagram.com/joherbert/
