Hello and welcome to my blogpost. As part of my Altenew Certification Program I have enrolled, I took the Creative Watercolour Media class by Jennifer Rzasa & Co. I played with the Watercolour 36 pan set which I have had in my stash and had a great excuse to play with it again. To ease into the class I started off with florals that I could colour in one petal at a time. As I am not particularly good at keeping my colouring in the lines I chose to heat emboss the image.
I first heat embossed both floral images with Ebony embossing powder and watercoloured in using the pan set. My biggest tip that I have learnt is have clean water and a clean brush handy. I love having two brushes to work with, 1 brush to pick up the pigment paint up and 1 to help distribute the paint throughout each petal. I have created a tutorial up on my youtube channel of my creative process.
There is a lot to learn when it comes to watercolouring and bot oh boy I am loving this class. I am yet to complete it but I just could help but pick up a brush and start colouring. I have to say the watercolour bug has bit me hard 😃
The colour inspiration was from the January monthly card challange.
In my card I also showcase a cool pearl embossing powder that changes colour when it is heat set.
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog. Have a lovely day!
