For my card below I have made my own glitter paste with the Sparkles and embossing paste. For today’s technique I have spread the embossing paste through the stencil, while the stencil is wet I have poured the sparkles over the top and set aside to dry. Once dried I used a dry fluffy dry paint brush to sweep away any excess sparkles. Using embossing paste with the sparkles range is one of my favourite methods.

I have made a tutorial on how I made these two cards below.

  2. Jo- these are beautiful . And what you achieved with the first card– wow! It took watching the video to realize it *wasn’t* weathered balsa wood! What a stunning effect! Thanks so much!

  3. Cards are sometimes overlooked in these days of mixed media. These are wonderful, using new ideas and applying them to cards. FANTASTIC.

  4. Jo, I’m loving your cards and appreciate the video with tips. The Stencil Girl stencils you used are great with the paste and sparkle. Definitely going to try some of your techniques… but how do I decide on the WOW Embossing powders colors? So good!

  5. I love how controlled the textures, colors and layers are in the “thanks” card so that the various elements work together so well and with such a striking result. And the way the blurred background effect with a highlighted area in the “with love” card creates such dimension is so intriguing!
