Papercrafters Unite Against Racism Blog Hop

Hi all, thank you for stopping by. I feel very honored to be very part of this very special hop. The goal of this hop is to come together to stand behind our crafty sisters and brothers of colour not just in the art industry, but also to show our support in the never-ending fight for equality all over the world.

All details of this hop and the line up of sponsors are up on Justine Hovey’s Blog .

As this is a hop don’t forget to visit your next hopper – Nandini Karmarkar.

For my first two card creations I bought digital stamps from Angie Bloom Digital Designs and Graciellie Designs to support small business that convey important messages with gorgeous designs. I felt both companies offered an array of images and sentiments that were fitting for today’s hop.

The first two cards I have incorporated an array of ink blended panels with Catherine Pooler inks and sprinkles of WOW! Embossing Powder Ultra High powders.

To see how have created these cards you can watch my tutorial up on my youtube channel.

The next card below has been inspired from my home country Australia where I reside. I first want to start of by acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the lands on which I reside today and pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.

I have carefully chosen the stamps from Hero Arts as the images reminded of the indigenous illustrations from the local Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders people here in Australia. The tones are a reflection of the earth as the indigenous use the land of natural tones, colours and earth materials to make their colours with.
