Now onto my creations I have used the “A cup of thanks” stampset. I have heat embossed this image with the WOW! Embossing Powder British Summer. To describe this colour I would say it is a muted dark platinum silver. It it quite a regal colour to play with and loved how the image turned out.  I have added some light ink blending behind the watercolour image and some ink splatters to help focus on the image.  have used Fabre-Castell watercolouring pencils. For the sentiment I have used Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder on some Wisteria cardstock.IMG_9551.jpg

For the second card I have used Bright White Opaque embossing powder as well as the Sand Dunes Embossing glitter. I have used the Brush Stroke Stripes stampset. This stampset can be used individual stripes at a time but I kept the whole stampset in tact and stamped with it on Kraft cardstock. The Sand Dunes embossing glitter looks a touch darker than it would on white cardstock which give the glitter a bit more depth.

I have heat embossed the “a cup of thanks” stampset again with Opaque Bright white and used watercolour pencils again but with a more colour wash effect.  Ipicked more cooler tones and added some blue wash around the image. I die cut the image out with the Darling Ribbon & Dotted Frames dies.

As a bit of interest I have stamped the image with Catherine Pooler Tiara Ink and the “thanks” sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

  3. Gorgeous colour combinations on all of these amazing cards, you really seemed to enjoy yourself on these images. British colour of WOW powder today instead in England should be a very pale blue almost white as the weather forecast is for snow on high.ground & very.cold.

I fell in love with the “Cup of Thanks” stamp when it came out and had to have it right then, now I just need to get some WOW! and I’ll be all set lol. Thanks for sharing all 3 cards and for the amazing inspiration. (mardy14@bellsouth.net)

  6. I love the bright coloring and background of your first card. The image looks just as good on that last card with just the stamping and no coloring. I like that idea-its so much faster.
