I am very excited to share today’s card creations at the Ellen Hutson Classroom! Eeek someone pinch me! The Ellen Hutson team is one of the most beautiful and generous teams and I feel honored to share my creations with you today.
Some more exciting news for YOU………….. Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights challenge is a monthly inspirational challenge based on a Color Trend Inspirational photo that is located on the CLASSroom blog. A random challenge participant will receive a $50 gift certificate to the Ellen Hutson store. To be eligible, they MUST use Essentials by Ellen products and the photo badge as inspiration. Please link your project in the inlinkz link up on the challenge post where you can submit your projects.
For today’s creation I have used the Essentials By Ellen Rustic Garden stampset and maximise the use the of this stampset by using both the front detail and the solid back acrylic stamps to create the stamped solid background. To stamp and capture the details of the Botanicals stampset I have used the Versafine Onyx Black ink but it also stamps really well on top of the oxide inks without fading or reacting to the ink.
For the colour combination of inks I used a selection of Distress Oxide Inks as I feel this pigment ink stamps a good solid image. See below the inspiration picture for the colour combination.
One of the main reasons I chose this particular stampset is because I like that it has so much detail however I was able to use the other side of the photopolymer stamps to create a solid coloured stamped image before stamping the detail right over the top. That’s right I stretched my stamps by using it in an unconventional way and was able to use both sides.
For added detail I have stamped the trio of solid black dots through out the background of the first card.
All cards I have used the Essentials by Ellen Brushstroke Hello die for all 3 cards. I have added some sparkle to the hello dies with Spectrum Noir clear brush markers. Each hello die has been layered 3 dies each creating a faux chipboard thickness look.
I have also created a video over on my You tube channel. –
Hope you enjoy today’s card creation and would love to hear from by leaving a comment.
