Altenew: August Challenge

Hi All, Hope your week is going well. Today, I have made this card for the August Altenew Inspiration Challenge. I played with the Perissa Embossing powder from Wow Embossing powder and OMG this is an exquisite powder. This powder has gold, copper, chunky silver and gold and it leaves a gorgeous texture looking image behind.

I have used the Build a flower Camellia stampset from Altenew (ofcourse).  I only used the solid image and the out layer of the stampset skipping the 2 layer stamp. I added distress inks peacock feathers & peeled paint on the solid image and have heavily sprayed with a spritzer so that it is a water colour mixed stamped iamage which loosely stamps and keeps the base flower stamped image.  I waited for a little while for the image to dry but because patience is not one of my strengths I did assist the drying process with my heat tool. I apply heat sparingly so that I did not warp the water colour cardstock. Once I felt it was dry I prepped the cardstock with an embossing buddy to take any extra moisture that I did not see or feel. Using the embossing ink I stamped the outline flower and heat embossed with the Perissa powder.

I did the same process with the leaves with peeled paint as the solid image however you can see I did not wait long enough and did not make sure it was dry enough so when I applied the gold embossing powder over the top of you could not see the detailed image at all. I still kept it though and was still happy with the end result.

I lightly sponged with Distress Ink Frayed burlap over the top and mounted on black top folding card base.  I did add some spritzing of water and picked up the excess with a napkin. The sentiment has been stamped with versafine onyx black ink and I have added a strip of gittered washi tape to bring in some gold to the sentiment to co-orinate with the gold leaves.
